Beau has been a principal with Highgate Partners since 2013 where he co-steers the brokerage and investment arms of the firm. Beau began his real estate career with Carter & Associates in 2004 after graduating from the Terry College of Business at University of Georgia. After 6+ years with Carter, Beau moved to Major & Arroll for 3 years where he brokered over 75 transactions, focusing primarily on the REO sector, due to then current market conditions. In Spring of 2013, Beau and his father Joe joined forces to grow Highgate Partners and expand the brokerage aspect of the company.
During Beau’s career he has made a name for himself in the real estate community specializing in land and investment sales. He has sold over 1,500 single family lots in addition to over $220,000,000 worth of land/assets totaling over 10,000 acres and 4 million square feet of improvements. On the investment sales side, Beau began his career representing both the Buy and Sale side for non-institutional office deals in metro Atlanta. Beau became the “go to” broker for the South Buckhead / North Midtown stretch of Peachtree where he brokered the sale of such a stretch of the ½ mile corridor that Bisnow designated the micro-market as “So-Beau”. Beau continues to represent both Sellers and Buyers on the investment sale side throughout Atlanta MSA, but has broadened his horizons to a more national client base.
In 2015, Beau and Andrew Murphy formed AMBT Holdings, an investment arm of Highgate Partners. AMBT is an investment pool headed by Terrell and Murphy that has successfully purchased six (6) medical office buildings and three (3) traditional office buildings in metro Atlanta. The return on investment to the AMBT investors has allowed them to grow the “fund” and its portfolio not only in size (square footage under management), but also in total equity. AMBT has found success in identifying off-market deals that have a strong value-add component. AMBT works with third-party landlord leasing brokers to stabilize these assets prior to flipping back to the market with stout returns to their investors. Despite the CAP rate compression being seen in the current marketplace, AMBT has found a niche in the $2mm to $20+mm investment sector. Highgate’s contacts with both local owners/investors, as well as national REITs has allowed both Highgate and AMBT to be on the forefront of investment looks. AMBT purchases approximately $50,000,000 of assets on an annual basis.
Beau’s credits his contacts, diverse specialties, and partners (Andrew/Joe) to the success seen for both Highgate and AMBT. An Atlanta native, Beau attended The Westminster Schools prior to University of Georgia. Beau is a member of the Million Dollar Club, is a CCIM Candidate, also currently sits on the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Board of Advisors. Terrell’s community involvement also spans to his active roles with both the Atlanta Mission, and Young Life. On the side, Terrell also co-founded and launched a commercial cleaning/restoration company (Compass Building Solutions) that he sold to a private equity group in 2016. Beau and his wife currently reside in Brookhaven with their daughter Breck.
